108 Lions Auction

February 28th 2009, the 108 Lions / OHMSA will hold
another Dinner Auction.
During the last auction, more than $10,000 was raised toward the OMHSA Soccer Park.
OHMSA would like to make this an annual event until all three phases are complete. Ingrid Meyer of the 108 Mile Ranch has volunteered to lead the organization of the “Second Annual Dinner Auction”.

2nd ATV Raffle about to begin!

This is to notify everyone that we now have the
tickets for the 2nd annual ATV raffle.
The winning ticket will be drawn at the fall fair.
OHMSA volunteers plan to haul the ATV around town again to prominent locations ( e.g. In front of Safeway and Safe-on Foods ) where you can then purchase tickets.
The tickets will be sold for $5.00 each and are in books of 25.
For those interested in helping out selling tickets for this fundraising event:
We encourage you to sell some tickets to friends and family so we can all take part in this fund raising event for the new “Soccer Park”.
Our primary location will be outside the Cariboo Mall's Liquor Store entrance again on Friday afternoons (3:30pm – 6:00pm) and Saturdays (2:00pm – 6:00pm).
Thanks to the Mall and Safeway staff that allowed us to set up there again.
Anybody interested to take a shift please e-mail Werner. I will have a schedule set up. Again, it would be nice to share the “fun”.
Anybody interested in taking a book to sell also please e-mail Werner and he will make arrangements to get it to you.

$25,000 CRD Grant of Assistance for the Soccer Park

BC Lottery Gaming Grant Approved

We are proud to report that we received notification
that the BC Lottery "Major Capital Project" Gaming
Grant for $100,000.00 towards the completion of the
Soccer Park - Fields Project has been approved!
We are currently awaiting word on the CRD Grant of Assistance, which we should receive towards the end of the month.
If anyone is aware of any funding sources we could/should pursue, please contact me, Werner Heine.

Spaghetti Dinner and Auction was a huge success!

We are proud to report that the Spaghetti Dinner and
Auction in the 108 Mile Ranch Community Hall on the
15th of March 2008 was a huge success and raised
$10680.00 towards the completion of the Soccer Park -
Fields!
This would, of course, not have been possible without the help of our two fantastic Auctioneers
Donna Nivision and Donna Barnett who did an excellent job auctioning off the items in an entertaining way!
A very special Thank you! from all of us at the One Hundred Mile Soccer Association to the donors and attendees for making this auction the huge success that it was!
